Silently and patiently they stand, witnesses of the industrial revolution, being slowly but gradually weathered away by the passage of time. Modern archeological artefacts of which few know their original use, whose eery and powerful presence creates landscapes that have no parallel. On various journeys to these places photo series were made, using special chemical processing techniques and a large variety of camera equipment, to paint portraits of these silent giants.
Shot on location in various places in the Ruhr area, mostly around the Landschaftspark Duisburg Nord.
