Joseph has an unhealthy obsession for details. Give him a nice cup of coffee and a late night, and in the morning you’ll find a dependable dataset and an inspired infographic. And check your basement too - he may have rebuilt your bicycle while he was at it.
Backed by over a decade of experience in environmental consulting, Joe’s interdisciplinary work is ever mindful of helping stakeholders make tangible connections to the world around them and find value in natural processes. He has studied butterfly ecology in the tropics, calculated cruise ship discharge impacts to Alaskan harbors, modeled the environmental impacts of urbanization in China, contributed to acclaimed urban master plans, tracked material flows across Oahu, developed innovative methods for quantifying sediment mobilization from wetland erosion in the Delaware estuary, and supported numerous corporations and non-profit organizations in strategic sustainability planning and carbon accounting.
Joseph holds a Master’s in Environmental Management from Yale University and a Bachelor’s in Environmental Studies and Psychology from Bowdoin College. He has eleven years experience consulting on matters of ecological risk, coastal change, and sustainability.
